The Pax el-Khouri Memorial Fund

Creating opportunities for students who share Pax's goals

Pax was born in Houston, TX on November 29, 2010 and left us too soon on October 14, 2020.  He was an exceptionally gifted child who had a love of math and science.  Naturally charming, with great intellect and highly motivated, Pax educated himself on advanced subjects through which he discovered quantum physics.  His passions for this science lead to his goal of attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and becoming a quantum physicist.

In order to honor his memory, his genius, his creativeness, his determination, his compassion, his thoughtfulness, his sparkle, and his joyful spirit, the Pax el-Khouri Memorial Fund has been established at MIT.  The fund will provide support for students and faculty in the Department of Physics doing work in the area of quantum physics with preference for support of Undergraduate Research Opportunities Projects.  Our goal is to reach commitments of $100,000 by June 30, 2023 to establish a permanent endowed fund so that Pax's memory will live on forever.  We already have generous donor commitments of over $93,000.  We are asking everyone to help us reach and exceed our target.  We need at least $6,500 more.  Any and all donations are sincerely appreciated.

There are many ways to make your donation.
